A mobile crisis unit is a mental health service offering immediate emergency response for mental health evaluations. It usually comprises a team of trained health professionals. These mobile crisis teams conduct in person interventions with the identified individual in crisis, along with their family or other support systems, to engage, assess, de-escalate, and direct individuals to the most suitable services.
Train of Thought Mobile Crisis presently accepts Medicaid from all insurance providers for our Mobile Crisis services. Additionally, we are contracted with Sentara, and United Healthcare for Community Stabilization.
